Watered in the Word

This cake is for my church's summer Women's Bible Study program, "Watered in the Word" and highlights the scripture verses from Titus 2:3-5, "... the older women ... can train the younger women ... so that no one will malign the word of God. "

My cake is a mountain waterfall scene, with an open Bible on the mountain top. Water (the starting point for the waterfall) will begin flowing from the words, "Word of God" and cascade down the cake/waterfall, concluding at the base of the cake, which is a pool. There are two women, an older and younger woman, highlighting the mentorship relationship, standing under the waterfall. They are filled with joy as they raise their hands to the Lord, each touch the flowing waters. Surrounding them are a mountain meadow and also the reason that they are at this location: their picnic and Bible study scene!

All of the elements in this cake were made from sugar!  Fondant, Gum Paste, Royal Icing, ButterCream Icing, Piping Gel.

The Cakes were Apple/Pear and Applesauce cake with Cream Cheese filling, and Hazelnut Cake with Marionberry Cream Filling.
